Region encoding and Region Protection are 2 different things.
Region Encoding is how either PAL or NTSC is encoded (for the different tvs in US and UK and other areas). Nothing but reencoding can change this, and like I said there is no easy or exact way to do this yet. Although newer tvs and dvd players have fixes or options that allow the different encodings to play fine. Region Protection is just a setting that dvd distributers put on their dvds so as not to sell them in other countries without permission. Anydvd takes this off. Tyler!
