hang on does this mean i could replace the version 4 laser in my ps2 for a KHS-400c and it would work like v7? so i could get either cc or matrix infinity? or no

It's all down to the lasers Then ?
V4's can work aswell as a v7 if it has a KHS-400B laser fitted Just put a new v7 laser The only thin is I don't want to open my v4 up and see . As might want to sell . Is there any way of telling what laser you have fitted without opening it up

Yep it all depends but there is is some v4 problem which means the eject tray keeps opening and closing randomly when you chip it so im told but its never happend to me.
