meh, that is not a good sign. Use a different flash app if you can. If you have a programmer, use that.

evox has some problems, and I do not know whyh they occur. The same thing happened to my cheapmod, except I only left it for 5 minutes (as it should take no longer than 2 no matter what). Long story short, evox now states that my flash is not writable.

Anyways, make sure the switches are not in between banks. I doubt that is the problem though.

You have to power off your xbox now. The chip will probably work fine still as if it was probably not erased at all, but may not flash correctly if you try again. Are you using a correct size bios? Anyways, just try another flashing app.

Is this the first time flashing the chip, or is it a re-flash?

I've flahed my chip before with the programer but it's a big hassle to unplug everything take out the chip and program it then alin it up good takes like five minutes just to alin it up so I was trying the dashboard flash to see if that's better but I can't flash is there a app program that you can put in the folder and flash it from the system. And one more thing is my ini setup right do you think that's the reason because I see alot of people on the forum who's ini rom, bios is setup way advance then mine.

Your ini should be fine. I don't thin kit has much to do at all with flashing. If you are worried about it, you can just delete the ini, let evox create a new one, then add in the flash option line ( Item "Flash BIOS",ID_Flash_Bios ).

You could try the raincoat flasher. That is what I use on 1.5 xboxs when I do a tsop flash. Just make sure the correct sized bios file is in the root of the raincoat flasher folder.
