After doing my research, I just went with the NEC ND-3520A - (NEC's update to the 3500.)
It seem to be the best for the buck, and one of the faster ones out there. check pricegrabber.com- you can get one delivered for under $65. |

I wonder if the CDRLabs reviews are not driving in the wrong direction. It seems that a lot of words and tests are devoted to read and burn speed.
If one is burning an occasional DVD movie and is not in volume production, it would seem that burn reliability with a wide range of media would be the most important criterium. I confess to being an amateur; am I missing something? |

Plextor PX-716A is the best Burner at the Moment, I think.
