It gets hot because its soo small, thats one of the major problems.. Maybe mod your case and add a PC fan to it a 120x120 will do

I know why u want the slim one.. because its new and everyone wants it, Lol.. shame they didn't make it good, and just rushed it out again. Crap laser, overheats, no hdd etc!
