Thanks Sped, that is exactly the anwser I was looking for, an actual dipiction as it were.

Thanks that site is great. And so are these forums, im looking to join in a lot more into the ps2 scene because i have mainly just been a big part in the PC modding scene but now its gotten wher everysingle person in the world buys modded pcs.

Just out of curiosity, that link to gamefreax.de references a .rar file for the CC bios. My question is, how do you get that .rar file to open to reference either the .bin or the .cue? I like the CC, but this is beginning to become a lot of work whereas most chips are ready to go right after install.

Sony are cracking down on mod devices due them being able to bypass the inbuilt hardware protection. You can still find standard Infinity chips, but not inside the UK and Europe
