Ok

So I could conceieveably use two routers ; one hooked to my Xbox and one hooked to my PC to allow me to do wireless FTP from Xbox as well as share my broadband conection?

I wish I could say. You should go to a comp store and check it out. I didn't see anything about bridging, nor do I see it in that picture. Most routers can, but If you order online with a ruff return policy, that I would make sure. You can probnably read up on that model, put I have to go now so maybe I will post more about it later

Additionally, I would look into the cost of getting 802.11 G transmission speed equipment. Even at this speed, transfers would take a little longer than a direct hardlined connection. SO if you intended on FTP'ing your back-ups, I'd be ready for a longer wait than dragging your XBOX to your computer and plugging in direct... did I make any sense? I'm a little drunk. What if?

Could I connect a wireless bridge to the Xbox and a router to my PC?

The wireless adapter MS sells for Xbox Live is a bridge. I am just nore sure if the bridge will give me access to the DVD drive.

I am not sure what you mean by wireless bridge. Like an access point or something? Similar to the official xbox wireless hardware?
