I see a lot of you used those cd-images with daemon tools. But isn't Bloodlines protected against emulators (I mean it detects emulator tools and ask you to close it) ?

Its true...
I have the mini-iso thingy mounted but it still says that cd emulation software is detected. I tried using both daemon tools and alcohol. I removed clone cd.
If I disable the virtual drives, the message does not come up, instead with an insert-the-cd message.
Its quite frustrating because a friend has it working but I cant seem to manage it.

you need to use the search button and find where they talk about making demon-tools invisible by editing the registry and removing read permissions on certain keys..
here is the general location in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\Scsi

that way if demon tools is the only thing installed that pisses off the "detected" message.. it's invisible..

i removed alcohol 120% and clonecd from my machine, with no results whatsoever. the game still refuses to run on account of seeing the dreaded emulators everywhere. do i have to get rid of nero as well? and: is this legal? to force me to remove programs in order to use other programs?

This a well known issue : the protection is testing only two keys in your registry :

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Elaborate Bytes\CloneCD]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Slysoft\CloneCD]

The solution is also well known :

1/ use Regedit to save these two keys in .reg files
2/ use Regedit to delete these two keys
3/ launch the game and play
4/ after you quit the game, restore these two keys by launching the .reg files

Note you can do all that automatically with a batch file. I can put my batch file here if you are interested.

I don't get it. I thought that Bloodlines detects only if a mounted image is active. What has to do with CloneCD ?

ok i installed the game It Crashed ok bummer, replaced the dll&exe files reran the game i clicked "New Game" cool wosh sound loading screen came up about a quarter inch red Crashed F%@* i installed the patch 1.2 ran it again at the same place Crashed WTF ok Maybe a bad install went threw the same things again Crashed and im only alittle ram short thats the only thing im lacking i meet all other req. any one have n e other ideas other than buy more ram????????????
