I know for almost a dead fact that halo 3 will be for xbox 2. First thing is that it's already in development, it began the moment halo 2 was done. Second off that's why the story was so quickly cut in half in halo 2 as well, they wanted people to be screaming for the next chapter...what better way to make your money than bundle it up as a launch title and even if it isn't a release title for Xbox 2 it would definitely be a contender with any game Sony could throw out there for PS3.

Yea and from what I hear it wasn't a follow up people were screaming about. It was the crappy ending they were screaming about. I haven't even finished the game but I've lost all will because of all the disappointed good hearted - red blooded - spending most of your paycheck on - die hard gamer - anticipating the game for most of this lifetime - halo fans.

It's time for tea! Cherio.. Bob Saget Rules. Paul Walker is an alien. Emilio Estevez shot JFK.

Halo 2 was never finished. They cut the game short to make the Nov. launch date. Call it Halo 2.5 or Halo 3, It will most likely be a launch title with X2 since the original Halo is the only thing that kept the Xbox alive you can only assume the same with the X2.

it can only be a contender in the fps market. Comparing gta:sa or the FF series would not make sense.

Well a feather in the cap is a feather in a cap. I personally think Sony has the upper hand with titles like GTA and Final Fantasy in their stable and Microsoft needs comparible titles in each of those genres. They're hot selling and established games that will bring in revenue for Sony and I'm just comparing Halo 3 the same way. Personally I like the xbox but I play my ps2 a whole lot more.

I like the old worldmap rpg's. It gave the sense of explorations and more sidequests. I hated it when the FF series stopped. I am however re-discovering snes and unplayed ps1 rpg's though.

My favorite Ps1 RPG is wild arms. The graphics weren't great but the wild west feel and story were fantastic. Give it a shot Quall, I think you'll get a kick out of it.
