Well you already said you went and checked it in the Network properties and it was off! Thats gotten rid of it for now, but you should really have another firewall installed! The windows one is crap!

Ok lets double check to see if your windows firewall is turned off.
go Start/Settings/Network Connections, then Right Click your internet connection and choose properties, Then 'Advanced' Tab, then 'Settings' button |

Once you get to the settings tab you should be able to see if its off. I should have asked this first but what version of windows are you using and what update? SP1 or SP2 (SP = Service Pack)

Im using Windows XP but I dont know what you mean by what SP im using. How do I check what Im using?
