FIFA 2005 more DISPLAY PROBLEM

HEllo...just installed fifa 2005 and only when i'm playing a game...the display flicks...a black bar appears in the screen...not letting me being able to play properly :P

i've the latest nvidia (geforce 2 64Mb) drivers and the latest directx 9.0c ...but...it happens...can anyone helpppp

Hi !!!!
Had the same problem, I went one version back with my nvidia driver, that is from 66.93 back to 61.77 , and it works like a charm now. Hope it helped.

Yep, theres something definately dodgy about those 66.93 drivers. When I had them on here, my system went haywire and in the DXDiag Tests, DX7 wouldnt even register, yet DX8 and 9 were fine. Went back to 61.76 personally. Truth be told, those 66.93 drivers are aimed at the latest nvidia cards and not cards like the Geforce 2.

AMD Athlon 64 3500+
GB K8NF-9 S939
PROLINK 6600 ULTIMATE EDITION 256mb RAM
2x256 @ 400 RAM (TWINMOS)

I have the latest drivers (66.93) but i had the same prob with 66.81.

I had the same problem when I bought this computer and it had Geforce 2 also. It doesn't matter if you have Direct x 9. , it all has to do with the graphics. Your graphic card is having problems handling the speed of the game. If you can, try upgrading your card. If you go to ebay and search for Geforce 4 Ti4600, the price is real cheap. It's little old model, but it works fine. I bought a Geforce FX 5900 series for $200 and in my opinion, it's same as the Geforce 4 Ti4600 when I had it two years ago. And if that doesn't fix the problem, try to upgrade your memory. In order to run the game smooth, you'll need at least 512 Mb.
