Can I make an unbootable backup self-boot?

i is havin trouble with selfboot tutorial everthing appears to go fine until the point where you create an iso.the iso is created but is only a small iso 32kb.all dos commands seem to have run successfully ip.bin has been patched what goin wrong.in the tutorial it says you should end up with a fairly large data.iso. why mine so small.
