How do i boot my DC?

Ive got a CDR game that is not self bootable, and when i go to ####t it up it wont so i went and got a utopia boot disk, but now when i put disk in, and then boot real game in, it still doesnt boot and stays at the boot disk screen, my dreamcast is a few months old... how cna i fix this problem? PLEASE

your dc might not support mil cd format which will not allow you to play backups,
depends when you bought it
actually did other backups play? or is this the first one you tried?
