PS2 issues at power up....

I installed a Magic2 (on a V7) a long time ago. Its been working great. I played some Star Wars Battlefront on saturday nite. I went to go play again on Sunday morning and it wont show anything on the screen. It powers up, i get lights on the reset/eject buttons and those buttons work like normal, the cooling fans runs and i get disc activity. I just dont get no screen nor sound. I disassembled the PS2 to check for loose wires and everything is still attached. Any ideas?

I borrowed my neighbors PS2 and used my existing cables and it works fine.

ok heres an update, i hope someone can ID the problem. It will boot original games. But if i try a dvd-r game i have to press the reset button for about a second then i will get the PS2 logo screen but it still wont boot the game. If i press the reset button longer i get no PS2 logo screen. Just a blue video input screen. I do hear the laser clciking alot so do i need to adjust it? any ideas?
