Hello,

I apologize in advance for this stupid question but I do not know how to disable optical drives via bios. Could someone describe the necessary steps to proceed ? I tried to disable in windows but it wonīt work. It keep asking for a cd game in the drive.

Hey tonkar,

Read again: "[...] disconnect the power [...]". Open the case of your PC and pull the power plug out of the drives. Crazy, isn't it?

but in other threads related to SHOWWII, some users have managed to disable their optical drives in the bios. Does that work on D DAy to ? I think itīs easier to do since you do not have to manipulate hardware each time you want to play the game ?

Sorry, no idea! I don't have D-Day and I'm not willing to **** around with my PC, only because of some stupid copy protection anyway...

If I remember correctly this doesnt work with WinXp! It must be done by disconnecting the cables!
And yes this is far to much effort just to get around a copy protection!
Its actually easier to just use your original disc!

this does not work for me.. getting a insert the correct disc thing.
deactivated it from device manager.. (winxp) installing and then mounting the clonecd image... but no-go..

have used that starforce3 cleanup program btw.. dontknow if that ****situp mabye?
