Well then I salute your spirit. Honestly, I'm not real familiar with the Linux on Xbox development but I think it's more of a proof of theory than actually useful. This kinda goes against Jive's Rules of Computing which state "Dont use a drill when you need a hammer." Some of the Xbox apps are awesome and cross the bounds into purely PC style apps but it's still a dedicated gaming platform.
I would recommend you just play with it on your PC instead though. It's mostly free and there are tons and tons of documents and FAQs for many of the distros.
