Damn, I sold my good V7 last weekend thinking I’ve got another V7 waiting for a chip. It better read CDRW’s like my last one did!!!

rather than adjusting the laser pot u might want to try moving the laser slightly closer to the disc to get the rw to read. Personally i wouldn't put a rw into either of my ps2's as even if it does read it will fraz yr laser very quickly.

I got my V7 to read a Maxell DVD-RW. Think it was NBA Streets Vol. 2. I was curious and wanted to know if it could read a DVD-RW or not.Anyway I erased it and put it on a regular DVD-R.
