I have the Sony DWU-18a and its very solid, its the OEM version of the DRU-530a...its a damn solid burner never had any trouble and all my backups had worked first time everytime at max speed.

NOTE: I had also used Ritek RiData and Ritek RiDisc for all my backups as the were recommended by videohelp.com to be the most compatible with my burner.
