I saw it too! Only thing is, I am worried about how hot it actually gets when held long enough. I dont want it messing up some PS2 boards if you know what Im saying.

Very true TD. I will giver a few tests and let you guys know how well it works. It would be

i saw it too wanted to order but no credit card also i dont realy solder that much. about the only time i solder is re-soldering the a/v jacks on my vcr

Does it use butane or electricity or what? Cordless irons arent ESD safe most of the time if it is cordless. How much does it cost? What is the benefit of a iron that can heat up fast and cool down fast? My Weller WES51 heats up to the temp I solder at in about 30 seconds and cools down in about that same amount of time.

Not sure what it uses. It comes with a carrying case and it costs the typical $19.95.
The thing about it heating up quick and cooling quick is probably so you can carry it around. The tv shows the guy solder then immediately touch the tip of the iron proving its cooled down. Maybe CGL will shed some light on this when he gets his. Tyler!

I dont know about you guys, but I think I got stroked on this deal. I am going to call them tomorrow and find out whats going on with my order. 4 to 6 weeks seems to have a new form of time measurement. ![]() I will get back to you guys shortly on this crapiola.
