heres an idea. you can just leave the oversized image on your HD and mount it to a vitual cd drive.
what you can try is extract the files from the data iso. hack3.exe the 1st_read.bin to lba 0. then use mkisofs with lba 0,0. make sure the IP.BIN is in the folder too. use bin2boot on that iso. it should create a selfboot .cdi image. now dont burn it. just leave it on your HD and mount it and see if chankast wil run it.

Well, I can't get chankast to boot the image created with that method, so I guess it won't work for my purposes. Maybe the CD Image could be played on an actual dc, but of course there's no way to test this
