Actually its really based on your own personal burner and media combination. As well as multitasking or not. So if you have a good burner and good media (like ritek) then you might as well burn as fast as you can with your particular combo. If you come across a problem, then is when you should consider burning slower.

All the games i burn were at 2x or 4x depending on what cds i had g03 or go4, and they were fine never had any problems.

i burn all my games at 4 or 8 speed depending on what discs i have laying about at the time and i have never had any trouble, waiting a full hour for a 4 gig game to burn would realy hack me off and make me more likley to snap the damn disc when it's done just for hacking me off in the first place..

I know most people like/recommend Craxtion. I've used it with success but I prefer Qwix for making ISO's and I burn with RNM. To this point I've never had a bad burn and I always burn at max speed(4x for my burner).

My "Box" has a Phillips drive and it has run every DVD-R I've ever burned with the above method. I've also used "data burn" with 100% success but to me it seems like an ISO burn has faster load times on some games???

i noticed that same problem with gtavc.... ive tried loading it to my hdd... then ftp to the computer to make an xiso thru craxtion then burning on alcohol... and it still doesnt work... can someone help me out and tell me what im doing wrong??? another thing is, the original disc itself will freeze during the loading screen at the same spot everytime... quall im sure u kno the spot that im talking about
