I've had good luck using GDHACK, its all listed in the ripping guide2.txt that I grabbed somewhere... But I wouldn't recommend using CDR-Win. Rather use CDRTOOLS to burn the wav as the first audio track then the rest of the cd.
Hope this helps some! -DB ------------------------ Portion of ripping guide 2 ------------------------ Downsample what files needed to get data to fit on a cd. 14) Burn the first session audio file(s). a) If the game is a non-cdda game, then: a) Use preferred method (CDRecord, CDRWin, FireBurner) to burn the 4-second *.wav/raw file b) if the game is a cdda game, then: a) Use preferred method (CDRecord, CDRWin, FireBurner) to burn the *.wav files (the cdda) c) After file(s) are burnt, get the start sector for 2nd session by: a) Use command: cdrecord dev=x,x,x -msinfo a) start sector will be the 2nd number (xxx, start-sector) 15) Must now point the *.bin files to the start sector. a) Use command: hack xxxx.bin 2nd-session-start-sector a) Normally will be something like: hack 1st_read.bin 11700 b) Goes for the following files: a) 1st_read.bin b) 2_dp.bin c) Sg_dpldr.bin d) Maigo.bin 16) Must defeat the GD protection, so the cd will load. a) Use the command: gdhack 1st_read.bin 0 17) Put Ip.bin and 1st_read.bin in a folder, and the remaining game files in a seperate sub-folder. 18) Go to the direcory containg Ip.bin and 1st_read.bin. a) Run binhack.exe a) Binary File = Boot File (1st_read.bin) b) Boot Sector = Ip.bin c) -MSInfo # = start sector for 2nd session (xxx, start-sector) 19) Place 1st_read.bin with the other game files, in it's correct place. a) if you are going to dummy-file the game, do so now 20) Make a *.iso of the game. a) Use command: mkisofs -C msinfo-1,msinfo-2 -V XXX -l -o xxx.iso game-subfolder a) Usually will be mkisofs -C 0,11700 -V GAMENAME -l -o data.iso SUBFOLDER 21) Insert Ip.bin into the *.iso file just created. a) Run IpIns.exe a) Boot Sector = Ip.bin b) ISO Filename = xxx.iso 22) Burn the *.iso file with your preferred method. a) Settings for CDRWin are: a) Disc Type = CDROM-XA b) Track Mode = MODE2 c) Speed = MAX Speed d) Finalize/Close Session = Yes e) Write Postgap = Yes f) Open New Session = No g) Test Mode = No h) Verify Recorded Image = No Quote:
