Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies. I have tried Call of Duty so far but it didn't output Dolby 5.1 sound and I couldn't find any option that would resemble something similar, not even EAX support helped, weird! I'll try Jedi Academy, too, but I don't have Far Cry or Unreal Tournament 200x... Joe

Quote:
enable EAX in COD and you'll suffer severe fps-losses. your fps will drop from 150 to 30... try for yourself: run a timedemo with only miles 2d and then with EAX, 2, 3. you'll be surprised...

Hi guys,
Apparently, the Windows 98 driver for the Sound Blaster Audigy I have does _not_ support Dolby Digital output. Because of DOOM 3, I installed Windows XP (as well, dual boot) and, voila, there goes real surround sound! Joe
