burnout 2

I transferred all my saves to a new xbox. I copied All of Drive E to the new xbox and tried a few saves and they worked until I came across Burnout 2 and it says save is unusable! Also Burnout 2 save seems to be the only save that doesn’t allow copy to memory card in MSDash save manager. What is up with this game?


Could some moderator please try and find out why I can’t post a new thread anymore? I hit submit and it goes to /newthread.php and page is blank, document done. Both IE and Netscape. Search submit did same thing a coupled times and now is working again.

I backed up burnout 2 to my xbox and it works fine. That's the game that you try and get the largest crach on one mode, right? Anyways, this thread is really old.


Saves may be xbox specific. If you copied it from and back to your xbox, it may be corrupted?

As for not being aboe to post. Try deleting cookies and temp internet files. I was unable to post on the official xbox forum (unless I used mozilla), I deleted those files and it started to work fine.

That’s why I brought this thread back, it was related to what I wanted to post about and since I could not start a new thread…

I found another game where the save was unusable, DOA EB Volleyball. There must be more save data on one of the other partitions?

Yeah, Burnout 2 is an awesome game, one of my favorites, I’ve been very disappointed with most racing games, with the exception of Ralli Sport 2 and Totaled. Gotham 2 and driver 3 were just horrid, glitchy, blurry, crappy graphics… Ugh, who do they get to play test these games? Rehab patients? Anyone? I can’t believe I wasted $3 to rent that game to eject it after 90 seconds, any longer and I would have puked and had a migraine all night!

You should check xbox-saves.com. That DOA EB Volleyball doesn't allow saves from other xbox's. There is a patch on that site to allow hacked/user saves. Burnout 2 may require one.
