How do i get WinMX to work?

as a 'newbie' mp3 downloader...

...i just downloaded winmx, an had it find a track i'm after, so it finds some copies - i pick one, i click download, it then goes to another display layout listing this track above a list of 6 entries, but after 20 mins, tho the list now shows 2 entries, it still hasnt downloaded anything!

so why hasnt this program done the job i installed it to do??

Sounds lie you might be choosing to download from users that have users in que. In your search results look at the far right column(status/server). Download from people that aren't backed up. The text will be in green or orange. The easiest way is to click the status/server button in your search results, so it arranges the results with the available users at the top.

Get KaZaA lite. Its a lot better, easy to use and downloads go faster

WinMX is a very good program I think, but for most people it's a little bit to "complicated". If you are in it it'll do it's job fine for u.
