i tried both pacthes.....1.01 and 1.04...english.....they both crash at loading screen

Did you also execute the regsetup.exe (if included. There is one for v 1.0) ?
Does this also happen with your original CDs ? (Just to make sure that it is crack issue and not related to driver probs).
