xbox DVD player???
Hi all i'm new to xbox community and this forum. So here goes. I just wondering do i have to buy the DVD kit for xbox to watch DVD? Is there a method which i can activite it so i don't have to spend $55 cdn. I mean i can buy a DVD player for $55 why use my xbox right

isnt the dvd player only like 30..? maybe 25 bucks now?

~WoMeNlOvEr ... so far ive moddded xboxes with: 2 Matrixes 3 Xbits My xbox!: -250 gig -XBIT -4981.06 x2 -orange led for light, matching beautifully with the orange x in the splash screen -Component cable my problem...solved?!: -one of my friends says he can get about 450 files off it!... and now i havent seen him for about 4 months..and ive written him like 11 emails.. WHERE THE HELL IS HE?! :mad: [B]OWNED! <3 TylerDurden![/B]

Well if you have a modchip installed in your xbox then you can run an app called: DVDX2. It allows you to play your dvd movies via your xbox without the need of a dongle.

Uh lets see, spend $55 for a stand alone DVD player that will let you watch DVD’s (not hooked to a VCR) and MP3’s with limited options and features.
Or Get your XBOX modified so you can run cool apps that are constantly being developed. Like region free, macrovision free, dongle free DVD Video with analog pan and zoom. As well as media players with DIVX video, MP3, WMA , network streaming video. File browsing, DVD copying, computer and console emulators, Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, NES, Gameboy Advance, Genesis, Sega Master System, Turbo Graphic 16, MAME, Atari, Playstation, Amiga… Tough decision?
