Dnas
hey guys. i am thinking about buying nhl 2004, but i will mostly just use it for on-line play and i was woundering if i would be able to back it up and use the back-up on-line or if it has dnas on it?

I think I heard it does... but either way most backups don't work for online play anyhow I've found out....
but since it IS 2004 it probably is gonna have DNAs on it |

yes u can i have a bcakup of nhl2004 and i play itonline all the time u have to patch the dnas file

Yeah u can. My FIFA 2004 and Rainbow Six 3 backups are both patched to go online...

If i use a PS2 Swap Magic CD v3.0 with a slide card or latest no solder mod could i run my original Socom II (uk) on my usa Ps2 online or would it not work then ?

With a patched backup it would be just the 833 region error. You have to get a PAL console to go online with it now. You can also get the 402 or 403 error when you've patched it wrong. But there are people working on a MACHINE ID changer, so it would fool the DNAS servers that you've got a PAL console for your PAL game. Or people with PAL consoles willing to play NTSC/US games can change the concole ID so that the DNAS servers think it's an NTSC/US console.
