I Need Assistance

I just recently installed an x-ecuter 2.3 lite on my xbox version 1.0 and everythign went smooth on the installation and reassembly of the xbox, but when i turned it for the first time with the external switch on the right stuff and it would beep and turn off and on three times and then would flash red and green and screen would be black. the only way i could get a different effect was to turn the switch to disabled, unprotected and bank1. The effect was loading a blue screen and showing some stats and then it would say "Please Insert CD - Flashing Mode" and the tray would eject. I tried puting in non backup games and it would say "Waiting For Drive - Mode Flashing". If anyone knows what to do next or if my modchip is on or any kind of advice at all, it would be greatly accepted.

ShadowKnyght is an unknown quantity at this point
if you have cut a trace - simply scarpe the top coating off of the trace to expose a small section of copper on either side of the cut (be very gentle when doing this so more damage is not caused).

then tin both sides of the trace with some solder leave for a second and the bridge the cut with solder (or by soldering on a short length of wire.

Shadow what do you use for scrapping the trace. I had an d0 solder pointon the back of the board come off and had to jumper it but it keeps shuting off. I would like to make a better connection and that sounds easy enough....

I use the flat edge of a razor - not the point - and just gently drag it across / along the trace.

you could practice doing this on the ground plane on other areas or on say a dead bit of electronics first - as the traces are very thin.

uhhh yea theres two ways of repairin a broken trace
first way is what that other dude said.
its to strip a wire of its coating
takin it downt o the copper core
and putting that wear the cut trace is along the same path
solderin those wires to the connecting so they stay still

second way is u connect the two points that wouldve been connected if the trace wasnt broken. u conncec them using a wire from the point of origin to the point of destination. that way of repar can be seen here:http://llamma.com/xbox/Repairs/repai...ifted_pads.htm
