i think that it is the speed which you burnt at, anything over 1x will not work and will ruin your dc after a while, especially home made games and home made audio cd's

i know others will disagree with me but my experience in industry should be enough for you to believe me, and if you don't and doubt i really don't care,

here... try an original dc game and if it boots then your problem is the laser on your dc, the dc laser is designed to read pressed games not burnt games, so to improve you can boost the potentiometer (pot) that regulates the laser power (strength) use a digital multimeter to adjust the resistance seen by the pot,

don't ask me how to adjust the pot, search the forums i have previously answered this before and gave the exact resistance values in ohms which should be reported by the multimeter
