Unhappy DVD Shrink 3.1, Nero Recode2 or......

Newbie to this game.... Took my first steep with DVD Shrink3.1. Really like the ease of use and speed of the program. Are starting to look into programs for more advanced solutions (any good suggestions). However just got Nero Recode2 installed, which have solved some of my issues

Nero Recode - although very similar to DVD Shrink, I find it A LOT SLOWER. However, there is one feature that i really like - In stead of just decreasing the quality (or slide show) one is able to remove a title by replacing it by a custom picture/color - hence reduce the size considerable while still preserving the working menu's of the DVD.

Anyone knows about a program which incorporates the speed/ease of DVDshrink and that specific feature of Nero Recode2??

- any other comments on why one is better will be appreciated:-)

- OR

Is there a mixture between CloneDVD2 and DVD Shrink - a program that allows you to exclude/include extras of your likeing (CloneDVD), but at the same time allows you to determine the quality/compression of the different titles (Shrink DVD).

Shrink DVD will only allow excluding of the extras when menu is not preserved, while Clone DVD won't let you differentiate between the quality of the movie and the extras - or have I gotten it all wrong?

cheers

CloneDVD2 allows you to get better compression, in a way. All you have to do is deselect some or all of the "bonus" features like trailers and other languages/subtitles. This raises the bar percentage on the bottom of your screen.

Yes

But if you want to keep 1 or 2 of the extras - it would be preferable to lower the picture quality of this, and use the extra space for the movie itself. This is not possible in Clone DVD... is it???

Cheers

I personally keep all the bonus extras on my dvds. The only things I get rid of are the previews/trailers and music videos if any.

Try reading my tutorial on CloneDVD2.
