I'm having a similar problem with my LG at the moment. They said to ring CS to sort it out. You could try the following, to see if theis helps. It usually does...
1. Uninstall the drive from Device Manager 2. Turn off the computer and unplug the IDE cable from the drive 3. Reboot the computer and let Windows start up fully 4. Shut down the system and replug the IDE cable 5. Reboot the system and let Windows reinstall the drivers 6. Restart for the final time and try again. What this does is force Windows to reinstall the drivers for the device and maybe this will work for you.
