Problem, Need Help !

I want to install Splinter Cell 2, and at a moment of the installation i have a message of "Error of composant transfert" :
videos files
common video files
^:\data3.cab
Files error (cyclic redundancy check)
at the files : ....offline\videos\2_2_1_train_Osprey.bik

I have the same problem when i install the game from the disk or from daemon. What i have to do ??

Sounds like it may be a media error. Is the CD clean? Try to install from a different CD Drive if you have one, or copy the CD contents to the desktop and install from there. If you can't copy the CD contents a desktop folder, you must have a Media problem. If you installing files copied to the Hard Drive, I would think it unlikely that the CD's are the problem.

I think there is a proggy, which can read cd's (little damaged or uncleaned ones). you could probably use this prog to copy your cd on your hd (especially the data3.cab), if i would remember the name......(i am just searching for it!)

p.s.: i tried to use this program once, but no luck for me
