Xbox Idea

Hi, i don't know wether this idea is totally stupid, but ive heard rumers that when you access xbox-live with a bigger hard drive, they can terminate you account, well would be able to partition a 8gig section to run with the original bios to disguise the bigger hard drive? i don't know if it is possible but too me it seems logical, but i don't ave an xbox yet! but im buying an xbox and i want it modified, what is the best most versitile chip to use, im also going to get a 120gig Hd installed, i want to use xbox live to be able to download new content for my games, is ther any other sites that will allow you to download new content for xbox because i know ther is tunneling software ect WELL i seemed to of covered more than i expected, hope somebody could shine some light on my confusion! thanks!

All the space goes on a partition that is otherwise, not there to MS, or the original xbox hdd. MS does do some checks to see if you have another HDD that they don't issue, but it is unknown how long they have been doing this. They haven't banned anyone for an HDD upgrade yet.

You cannot use backups online. You have to have your chip turned off in order to go on xbox live.

Tunneling software is available for free. It takes advantage of games by using the "system link" feature. Only games that have system link are supported (many games have this).

Xbox live content is only available via xbox live, or whatever content they might choose to include in the official Xbox Magazine disks. Downloaded content is "locked" to your drive. You cannot copy it and play on another xbox.

It can be a pain to find Xbox homebrew/development software because almost all are compiled with copyrighted code and I probably can’t give you any links but just search google. There’s a hell of a lot of fun stuff to be found, Dashboard Apps, MP3/DIVX media players, Region Free/Macro free/Dongle free DVD video player, and Emulators Galore, SNES /Genesis /MAME /N64 /PSX /NES /SMS /GBA /Atari /Amiga /C64…

You can use any original game online, as long as your modchip is turned off before you start your xbox. Almost every chip comes with an on/off switch or boot method.
