Nero vs RecordMax Now

I am having troubles with a large % of my backups becoming nothing more than costers.

I presently use Recordmax Now and the data burn method on Ritek 4x disks.

I upgraded my thomson drive to a a samsung pc drive, and that seemed to help a lot, but still looking to get higher % burn rates, as well as better disks that I can take to buddies xboxes.


Anyway - I just got the new version of Nero (have not used it for DVD's yet), and wondering if others out there have had better luck burning Xbox backups with Nero.

Also - does Nero have a data burn method like the RecordMax now?

yeah buddy nero is the one to use. have burnt 200+ ritek disks without a single coaster using a pioneer writer. is real easy to use too so dont waste ur time with that other software

in my case virtually every xbox game burned with nero 5.5 and 6.0 and 6.3 resulted in a coaster with over 98 percent good burns with record now max 4.5 and i've done well over 600 backups

yeah i use recordnow max too for burning games but i suggest you dont do the data burn method but make a proper iso first

I get the same as dude. In fact, Fishtail is the first person I've seen to actually do a databurn in nero that wortks without problems.

Do you change the setting's in Record now to close the disk when it is finished burning? It is defaulted to non-closed.

In Recordmax now - what version are you using and are you using the databurn method or building an ISO first?

Also - as far as Nero is there a databurn method? I just got Nero 6.3.1.6, and did the option to make a data disc, but all I ended up with is another coster.

the last option in nero, data disk+UDF or something is a data burn. Burning an iso with Record Now should be the same as Burning an iso with nero, since the iso contain the burn perameters.

If you have disks that cuts out about %70-100 through when burning an iso, then the disk doesn't support iso burning. Most of the less-costly media doesn't support iso's. That is why record now max is so good with the data burn (i use the databurn).
