Cheryl my dear, if our lives depended on a piece of antique equipment then by all means fix it. But when we have the ability to sell a ps2 on ebay (being careful not to mention that its a v1) for very close to the same price as a new one, I must say thats the way to go.
If we all used our minds a bit more and looked further towards the future maybe not as much of us would be, as you call it "poor".
Another thing, I in no way "lol'ed" at the fact that you were a newbie. I know better than that.
If more people follow the good adviced that has been building up in these forums there would be less and less problems as well.
I will also say this to you cheryl please dont think Im trying to offend you in any way. I just know better. Ive been doing this for many years and Ive seen things come and go. It would be in your best interest to at least hear me out. I also in no way make any profit via these forums. I do it because I enjoy helping and replying to interesting threads such as this.
