Media questions?

Well the ritek G04 works like a charm, but I still have a few more questions?
What's the best cd media?
It's funny I can pop in an old ps1 backup and have it read fine but when i burn a ps2 cd game(non-rip) on the same cd(Verbatim Datalife+) the motor goes crazy and doesn't stop. Funny thing though is that there is no skips or anything within the game. Is this normal?
What's the best rw media?
Not so much for game backups, but for playing divx movies on my reality player.

They're not rips though, just cd titles.

Expect to hear at least a little squeaking due to the fact that cdr's are not as reflective as the pressed cd's that Sony uses.

If you listen carefully even the Sony original games will make a little squeaking noise during play too.
