USBMod Chip does it work with RegionX (pal)???

I just bought my PS2(Pal) and I'm looking to get a chip, can anyone tell me if I would buy a USBMod chip can I boot my PS2 backups with a RegionX disc or do I need to buy a AR2. On my psx I have a internal chip and would like that for my PS2 but I'm no good at soldering and I can not find anyone in Belgium to get it install. So I will have to go for an external chip. I allready have a RegionX but will it work with a USBMod chip????
