There should be a "3D Setup" link in your start menu folder for GENERALS.
Try this!

There should be a folder "3DSetup" in your game directory on your hd. Try to find it there. If it doesn't work uninstall the game, then start REGEDIT and delete this:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Electronic Arts
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Electronic Arts
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> EA Games
(That should be all entrys from EA)

But do this only when you don't have any other EA Game installed.

I hope this works for you. I don't know any other way.

You change it in the "option" file. You find the file under My documents/Generals (I think). Change the resulotion to a value that your monitor can handle (edit the file with notepad) and save.
Very easy to do when you find it...

Dont worry about 'changing' it, Just delete the whole Options.ini file in the My Documents folder. Restart the game, and it should run from defaults. If you still have issues, reinstall!

p.s.

its always good to keep your monitor range in the back of your head.
