Confussion with Xecuter 2.3b Lite

Hi guys,

I have just been converted from PS2 to XBLOCK in the last few days so I went and bought one.

I have a modded PS2 and now, no messin' about I want a modded XBOX.

I have bought a Xecuter 2.3b Lite, very nicely made chip I must say.

I'm not worried about fitting it as it looks a piece of p*** compared with some of the PS2's I've done.

What does confuse me is that I want to play Xbox Live and backup new games.

Can I:

1) install the chip and have the normal bios and the X2 4781.

2) FTP the Xbox without running a different Dash or run a different dash only from a disk.

3) I mainly want to use the Xbox Live features so with that in mind what should I do.

Thanks

Quall999 is on a distinguished road
1. There is a disable chip. After you flash the x2 4979 bios on the xbox, it will boot to evox (if you installed it), then flick off the modchip to boot to the original ms dash (via the ms original bios).

2. You can ftp from a disk, however evox has a little issues, so use another app like avalaunch, or media-x-menu.

3. Turn off the modchip to play online (via a switch that the chip comes with, or power button wire install), otherwise keep it on. And backups can never be played online, so turning off the chip after the game loads will not let you play online with a backup.

Thanks again!

I know I might be another one of those people asking the same old thing, I'm just trying to get my head round it. I appreciate the help though.

So If for instance I install Avalanche, with a mod chip fitted, is it installed on the HDD or do I install it on the chip. Either way is the switch what changes the dashboard or do I physically load it from the HDD.

Sorry to be an idiot, I have my XBOX with me a work because I want to install the Xecuter this afternoon at a friends workshop.

I just want to make all the right moves first time.

Thanks in advance!
