i think what Sobe means about crazy taxi is that it actually does not always show the proper texture maps and that is due to the data being too close to the centre of the disc that is why you autodummy or dummy the disc with useless info to move the game more to the outside ring of the cdr that way the laser has less to search and the textures stream a lot faster to the display, try it it makes a world of difference,

again if the game is properly autodummied there should not any search problems of screwed up textures
