Burn two NFSU discs to one DVD.

Can anybody help me with this?

I have the two discs on my harddrive and want to burn the two CD files to a DVD.
To get those files on DVD is not the problem.
The point is: When I put the burned DVD in my DVD-ROM player, that the installation proces will start and that it will not ask for CD 2.

Hope that you can help me with this.

There is a file "filelist.txt" on CD1.
You have to EDIT it.

In the file are entry like this:
1,2,3, Speed.exe

The first number is the CD from where Setup want to copy. Don't change the other numbers!
In this way you will need a NoCD Crack.
You can also add an entry to the "filelist.txt", so a (for example) Trainer.EXE can be installed together with the game...

Try it out!

Editing "filelist.txt".

Thanks for this tip. I found and read the filelist.txt file. Somehow I feel that I can understand what it says.

Maybe that you know what exactly what I should change in the filelist.txt file.

So, now i have taken a look on my NFSU CD1.
There are two files: Common_Filelist.txt and DE_Filelist.txt .
(I think, when you have the US version of NFSU there is no DE_Filelist.txt but a US_Filelist.txt)
In both files are entrys like this:

1,1,3DSetup\3DSetup.dll
1,1,3DSetup\3DSetup.exe
1,1,3DSetup\3DSetup.ini
...
2,1,Speed.exe
2,3,SndStreams\Strm_AMB_MonoPoint_mb.ast
2,3,SndStreams\Strm_Music_UG0_mb.ast
2,3,SndStreams\Strm_AMB_Stereo_mb.ast
2,3,SndStreams\Strm_SpecialStream_mb.ast
2,2,Tracks\StreamL1Rb.bun
2,2,Tracks\StreamL1Rb_1201.bun

These entrys are:
The three "3DSetup"-Files are on CD1 and the other files are on CD2, because of the first number in the entrys.
I think the second number is for the different install-types (small, custom, full).

The only think you have to do is, changing the first numbers from "2" to "1" !!!

I hope you understand it now.

Insert CD2 message at the end of Install?

@ GLH
Hopefully you (or anyone else) can help me? I have used your CD to DVD method and at the end of the install it asks for CD2? Now I can just cancel the message and it escapes to the desktop and when I double click the NFSU icon it starts the game and plays no problems without the CD. Have I maybe missed something or is this normal. I have changed both the 'en-us_filelist.txt' and the 'common_filelist.txt' (all 2's changed to 1's) and I have also renamed the 'Speed.exe' to 'Speed.exe.org' and also added the cracked 'Speed.exe'. All files are in the correct place. Install seems to work ok except for the 'insert cd2 message at the end of the install?
Also is it possible to have the install automatically install the patch 4 as part of the install? Its not really that much of a problem as it does play but I would just like to know as it is a good learning experience!

Thanx Grumpy

Hmmm didnt realize 'Haani' beat me to this question by 7 minutes! Pity he/she started another thread!
