soldering onto VIAs

Ive read about this fiberglass pen but i havent read what it actually does or what exactly you do with it???


Can someone clue me in.


Ive been trying to install my chip for the last 2 weeks. Im going to commit suicide.

I got half the wires soldered on but cant get the rest. I dont know why some contacts stick like a rock and the rest dont stick at all. I scrapped them all.

Im getting a headache........
