Does the GC play media?
Can the gc play media files such as mp3's, movies, and music cd's burned onto a mini cdr? If so what does the gc need to do so?

It'll be possible in the near future
 http://www.gc-linux.org/ current status: network drivers are in the initial phase and they're able to create a ramdisk in the GCs' internal memory. Stay tuned for more updates.
