why the size difference
i hope i'm not stepping out of line askin this
but i know there are different size bios but what are the different sizes for eg. what difference would it make to boot up with 512k instead of 256k what does the 512k do better than the 256k i'm not asking to use one just want to know more about it really does it work like different size rams in a pc? |

It is possible to imbed an xbox xecutable file in the bios. If that ever happens again, it will no doubt be 1mb. Other than that, I see no difference. But x2 or any other quality chips have 1mb flash roms. This gives you the option to have 1 bios, or 2 that are 512k (even more depending on the chip).
