No idea about the ripper.
The Messiah2 plays all games. Period. End of story. The DMS3 is more money than the Messiah, doesn't play as many games (really only one or two that don't work), but has nifty features - like booting the media player directly from the memory card, and a hard drive explorer, and a bunch of other shizzle. - Gurm
