thanks for the advice am currently defragging the drive.

System used for burning is
Windows server 2003
2.4ghz proc
1gb ram
dvd clone
andydvd 3.2.1.1
Creative DVD player
Pioneer 106 DVD-r
Media :
Imitation, Verbatim,
