Max payne sound issues.
Maybe i can help. After i installed the crack initially , i had the same problem. I found a solution for me. Maybe it will work for you.
I clicked on my 'start' button on the desktop. Then, i clicked on 'run' In the box that pops up i type this dxdiag . Then i hit enter. In a few moments a box with a lot of selections will come up. Click sound #1 and enter that. You will see a 'slide-bar' that says 'acceleration' above or below it. Move that slider all the way to the left. If it is already all the way to the left, then move it all the way to the right. 'APPLY' The new settings. Exit that and reboot. Remember what the original setting was as that is probably the best setting for your system. After a reboot, run the 'cracked' .exe file. If the sound is still messed up , reinstall directx 9 and reboot again. If it sounds fine, go back into the dxdiag and change the sound 'acceleration' back to the original setting before you changed it. Try running the game again. This worked for me. I hope it can help you. Good luck.
