I just went to EA boards and there are many people and tons of threads that have your problem. some of them have success with disabling the firewall and some others suggest uninstalling "netlimiter" if you have it.
some people believe that EA install wrong patch for European version. read them in here , here , here , here and here and many other threads that you can find by searching there.
