I honestly dont know what ol' Lufcfan is talkin about because if you have a modchip and are backing up your import games your ps2 will play them no matter what region they are from.
Generally speaking, Pal to Ntsc patches usually just patch the basic video parts of the game. Most patch enough to play the game comfterbly. When I get my patches I get them from
HERE and I use PPF-O-Matic v3 just like you do. If I really need to I use the ADR patcher when there are no patches out for a particular game or if I just cant find one. Thats just a tad more difficult but once you get the idea its easy.
